SUMMER IS COMING, so are our Costumed Walks DON"T MISS THEM Tuesday evenings in July and Tuesday afternoons in August (see the events listing)  Meet some characters associated with the history of Ramsgate FOUR DIFFERENT WALKS AVAILABLE - with knowledgeable guides. Royal Harbour Walk Start at Clock House, Pier Yard to learn about the Royal Harbour and you are likely to meet Jane Austen, King George IV, Elizabeth Fry and the Soldier. West Cliff Walk Assemble at West Cliff Lift and visit some architectural treasures maybe encountering Augustus Pugin, Mrs Mary Townley, Wilkie Collins and Selena Welby. East Cliff Walk Assembly Point in Albion Gardens to see many splendid Regency and Victorian buildings frequented by Princess Victoria and her Governess, Dame Janet Stancomb-Wills and the renowned artist Frith. Town Centre Walk Meet at Halifax Bank and view Ramsgate through the ages finishing at The Parish Church of St George. Some characters inhabiting this area are a very irate resident of Guildford Lawn, Sir William Curtis, young Princess Victoria and Mrs Mary Townley. Times and Dates are in the events list, all walks are free and last approximately one and a half hours, donations to costume upkeep are welcome, a booklet describing each walk available at £1.
