Spring Beach Cleans
Come and help out this Spring on one of our beach cleans, it's a great way to get outdoors and help maintain our beautiful coastline. Cleans last approx. 2.5 hours; gloves, sticks and bags provided - thanks to support from Cummins Power Generation. Free!

Great Eggcase Hunts
Look out for shark egg cases and help to create a marine art masterpiece on the beach.
(Hunts start at 2pm and the events last 1.5 hours; These events are particularly suitable for 4-14s; £2pp)

Explore the rocky shore for Thanet's intriguing sea life with the Thanet Coast Project. Identification sheet & equipment provided. Wear suitable footwear for rockpools!

BeachWatch BIG Weekend 2012
Join in this weekend of action and help monitor the cleanliness of our beaches in the Marine Conservation Society's national campaign on Beach Litter Surveys & cleans! These volunteer tasks last 2.5 hours, with gloves, sticks and bags provided, thanks to support from Cummins Power Generation.
Sat 15 Sept, 2pm (2?hrs) - Pegwell Bay, Cliffsend CT12 5HY
Along the National Nature Reserve beach by the cliffs.

Various event and activities along an 'historic theme' all around the Thanet Coast and Ramsgate's Royal Harbour.

The above are the public events, but we are running even more directly with local commuinities....so another Community are with promoting is this, for community groups & resident associations etc...and also to local schools (as they will be free to locals):
Local Community Events & Activities 2012/13 - "Footprints in the Sand"
Why not have a outside walk or activity arranged for your group on the coast?
This project will help to run tailored outdoor events for local people that don't normally access our internationally important coastline - Thanet's largest open space! It is aimed at supporting communities from deprived areas of Thanet, from the very young to the old, or from different ethnic backgrounds or for those with disabilities. Find out more about 'Footprints in the Sand' partnership project and partners you can contact. These events will be free for local eligible groups.
