The excursion includes the Kew Explorer land train, which will give us a guided tour around the Gardens to hear about Kew’s ora and fauna, historic buildings and vital conservation works. You can then hop on and off the land train to visit the various glasshouses and Gardens.
The collection of living plants is the largest and most diverse in the world. There are several cafés and restaurants or if you prefer to take a picnic you may eat this in the gardens. Also included in the price is entry to 17th century Kew Palace, George III’s summer residence built in the Dutch style with gables.
2020 marks the 50th anniversary of the Ramsgate Town conservation area. To celebrate this the Ramsgate Society would like to plant 50 trees within the conservation area for future generations to enjoy. We will be planting the trees during National Tree Week on Saturday 28th November - if social distancing rules allow.
