Whether you are a Royalist or Republican we need your support for our next Big Clean up event which is being held as part of the national campaign to de-litter the streets and byways of our towns and villages in preparation for the Queen’s 90th birthday.

We are planning to repeat our successful clean-up of East and West Cliff and part of Central Harbour carried out last October. We will be meeting outside Gerry’s Coffee Shop in Albert Court, off York Street (view a map), at 10.00am on Saturday 5 March where all volunteers will be provided with litter pickers, gloves and high viz jackets.

Craig Mackinlay, our local MP, and Trevor Shonk, our local Mayor, will be present and we hope to gets some photos taken for media coverage before starting the hard work.  We are aiming to complete the clean-up at around 12.30pm.

This is an important opportunity for us to show our support for a cleaner and safer environment for the enjoyment of both residents and visitors to the town, so please come along and lend us a hand!
