Your Membership enables us to carry out the mission of the Ramsgate Society – helping make Ramsgate a better place to live, work, and visit. Aside from your membership contribution (all of which goes directly towards our heritage projects), we also need your energy, enthusiasm, ideas, time, community connections, skills, and experience. We can't do this without your dedicated help and contributions.

By becoming a Member of the Ramsgate Society, you help to support the work we do to benefit the current and future citizens of Ramsgate and help safeguard the stories, places, and traditions that have shaped our maritime town and its royal harbour for generations. From shipbuilders and sailors to dockworkers, merchants, and visiting royalty, our past is layered, complex, and worth keeping alive.
Membership is more than support — it’s participation. You’ll gain access to talks, archives, exhibitions, and events that bring local history into focus, while helping ensure it remains accessible for future generations. Whether your interest lies in architecture, maritime life, social history, or simply a love of this place, there’s a role for you here.
Most importantly, your involvement helps us make a difference. Through conservation, education, and community outreach, you play a direct role in protecting heritage that might otherwise be lost.
